This week I completed my chair cushion. Last week I had a picture of the layers. So first we have the wooden frame with springs attached. Next we have my foam which the saber tooth tiger cut. On top of the foam we have batting to cover up my mistakes and finally we have my fabric.

When reupholstering you use hundreds of staples and by the end you have pulled our and replaced most of the staples that you end up using. You pull out staples because as you mash your rectangular piece of foam into a a rounded shape. Your fabric wrinkles or your pull lines are visible and so out comes the staple and then your yank on your fabric again in a battle to make your cushion look uniform. So a couple weeks ago this is why we cut extra fabric so it is easier on your hands when you pull the fabric taunt.

When you pull the fabric over the corners some people can get their fabric straight and without wrinkles but I am not that talented so I added pleats which has been a challenge because they have to look the same.
Next week I have to finish and because I am a bit behind I am slightly worried but we shall see.
